Decide how you want to use twitter

There are basically two kinds of twitter users – Private/Exclusive or Public/Inclusive

If you choose to be a Private/Exclusive twitterer you will want to:

• Restrict who can see your tweets
• Choose to Accept or Deny People who Apply to Follow you

Most people choose the Public/Inclusive type of account where:

• All your tweets are broadcast publicly
• Complete strangers can decide to follow your tweets

Of course there is nothing to stop you have two accounts (one Private and one Public)

Once you have decided what type of account you would like you need to click on the Settings link (top right of your twitter page)
