More Domain Name Scams!

There has been yet another wave of a domain renewal invoicing scam.

If you have received what appears to be an invoice for a domain name from an organisation called "Domain Registry of America", it is a scam. DO NOT BE DECEIVED.

The envelope has this logo on the outside:

And this it the letter heading:

Cambridgeshire police have issued a warning about this so called company.
 
In effect if you pay the money and send it off you are agreeing to move control of the domain name away from your current Internet Service Provider and all the associated services like email and website hosting you might currently have with your name.

If you are in any doubt what to do - contact the person currently responsible for your email / website (e.g. easykey)  or just contact me on 01279 777169 and I will happy to give you impartial advice.
