Even if you haven't got a PayPal account you may have received an email entitled Important PayPal Notification - Security Issues.

This 'phishing' email urges you to update yout PayPal records via a link to a website that looks like PayPal

If the email begins without your name i.e. Dear valued PayPal member... then it is probably a scam.

The email may look something like this...

This email is a scam.  This technique of trying to get you to enter your PayPal Username and password is called 'Phishing'.

Instead forward the email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

TIP: PayPal nor any online bank will ever ask you for your password via an email or a link to a website from an email
